With the announcement of the opening of theaters in Maharashtra, the release dates of many big-budget films have been announced. Still, there are some films among these films that will be released on the OTT platform instead of theatres. Like Rashmi Rocket and Udham Singh. In the meantime, the release date of Vidyut Jamwal's upcoming film 'Sanak- Hope Under Seige' has also been lifted. OTT platform Disney Plus Hot Star has announced that 'Sanak' will be released on 15 October 2021.

The first look of the film was shared in which it was informed that the film will not be released in theaters but on OTT. The Bengali actress Rukmini Maitra, Neha Dhupia and Chandan Roy Sanyal will be seen by the side of Vidyut Jammwal in 'Sanak'.

With the announcement of the film, the makers have released a new poster of a film in which Vidyut is seen holding a child in one hand and a gun in the other. This film is directed by Kanishk Verma and at the same time, this is the Bollywood debut of Bengali actress Rukmini. It is backed by filmmaker Vipul Amrutlal Shah and Zee Studios.

Shah said he is so excited that the film will be released on the streaming platform on Dussehra. "I am very happy to announce the date of 'Sanak', which we shot under the most difficult circumstances of COVID-19. Vidyut also said that the purpose of this attempt was to keep the people entertained and as always. This is the Vidyut’s fourth film to come on the OTT platform.

"Sanak" is announced as an action-packed film with an "emotional journey" which set down the story of a hospital under siege.

"It is a hostage drama, a genre that has not been explored to its full potential. It would be interesting to see all the action and drama unfold in a hospital under a siege.
