The Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission has started making efforts to move forward the stalled vehicle of recruitment during the Corona period.
The Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission has intensified the exercise of reducing the time and number of questions in the online recruitment examinations. Soon the commission is going to decide on this.
During the first wave of Corona, the commission had conducted many recruitment examinations online. The commission had successfully conducted online recruitment examinations through tablet also. Now in the second wave of Corona, taking forward this online exam pattern, the commission is working on reducing the time and questions of the examinations.
Commission Secretary Santosh Badoni said that under this, the time of examination is being considered to be reduced from two hours to one and a half hours and the number of questions will be reduced from 100 to 80. A decision in this direction is going to be taken soon. By doing this, three shifts of examinations will be easily done in a day and the recruitment train will start running again.
More than 800 recruitments stuck in Corona
Due to the second wave of Corona, the recruitment of 800 posts of the Subordinate Services Selection Commission has been stuck. The commission has to issue the advertisement of recruitment for 407 posts of Patwari, 200 posts of Laboratory Assistant and 180 posts of Bandi Rakshak but then the second wave of Corona arrived. The candidates have to go far from their home for the application, so because of their safety, the Commission has stopped the advertisements of the recruitments for the time being.
Hundreds of youth one step away from jobs
Hundreds of youth are a few steps away from the job after clearing the three recruitment examinations of the commission. Due to Corona, the verification of certificates has not been done for recruitment to the posts of JE, Livestock Extension Officer and Assistant Agriculture Officer in Jal Nigam. At the same time, the result of JE recruitment examination of the electricity department has also been released, but the date of verification has not been decided. After the outbreak of Corona subsides, the commission will conduct verification for all these recruitments.
Six recruitment exams have been postponed
Six recruitment examinations of the commission have been postponed due to Corona. These include LT recruitment to be held on April 25, Forest Inspector recruitment to be held in June, Junior Assistant recruitment to be held in June, Village Development Officer to be held in May-June and Assistant Accountant recruitment to be held in July. Apart from this, the recruitment of Secretariat Security Cadre was also to be held in July itself, due to Corona, all these examinations are currently postponed.
