State's first tunnel parking will be built in the Kempty area of ​​Mussoorie. Its Detailed Project Report (DPR) was approved by the government on Wednesday. Its tender process will start soon. On Wednesday, in the Secretariat, Additional Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan reviewed tunnel parking, automated parking with the officers of all executive bodies. In the meeting, he directed the executive bodies to work on all the parking projects expeditiously. In the meeting, the DPR for the tunnel parking to be constructed at Kempty in Mussoorie was approved.


This parking lot will be developed by the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation (NHIDCL). At the same time, in Haridwar also, under the joint aegis of Haridwar Roorkee Development Authority (HRDA) and NHIDCL, five automated parking areas were approved.


Their DPR will be prepared soon. At the same time, the DPR of ten big parking projects in the state is in the final stage. Additional Chief Secretary Anandvardhan said that the parking works are being monitored on the priority of the Chief Secretary.


158 parking lots to be built in the state

A roadmap has been prepared for 158 new parking lots in the state. More than 10,000 vehicles can be parked in these. These include 50 surface parking, 88 multi-level car parking, nine automated and 12 tunnel parking.
