Uttarakhand government will give 25 lakh rupees to Indian hockey player Vandana Kataria

Indian hockey player Vandana Kataria will be given Rs 25 lakh by the state government. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced this on Friday. The Chief Minister said that we are proud that Uttarakhand's daughter Vandana has contributed immensely to the outstanding performance of the Indian women's hockey team in the Tokyo Olympic Games.

The Chief Minister said that soon a new and attractive sports policy would be implemented in the state. In this policy, there will be a provision of suitable economic incentives especially for developing international level talent among our youth.

The commission took cognizance of abusing the family of Indian hockey player Vandana

Uttarakhand Human Rights Commission has sought a report from SSP Haridwar within four weeks, taking cognizance of the cases of burning crackers outside the house of Indian hockey player Vandana Kataria and abusing her family members.The commission said that the SSP should tell what action has been taken in this matter

Graphic Era will give a prize of 11 lakhs to Vandana Kataria

Graphic Era Deemed University will give a prize of Rs 11 lakh to Vandana Kataria, who has enhanced the honour of the country by performing brilliantly in the Olympics. On Friday, Rakhi Ghanshala, senior officer of Graphic Era Educational Group, reached her house in Roshnabad and handed over the manifesto to the family members for the award. She spoke to Vandana over phone and congratulated her for the historic achievement.

On reaching his house, Rakhi Ghanshala met Vandana’s mother Swarna Devi and brother Chandrashekhar Kataria and handed over the manifesto to them. She said that the entire country and the state were proud of Vandana's achievement. Vandana has scored four goals including a hat-trick, on the basis of which the team has managed to reach the semifinals. Vandana and the hockey team have shown the way forward to lakhs of women and daughters of the country.

She has said that Vandana will need training for the next matches, in that too Graphic Era will give full support. With our return to India, preparations should be made for the next Olympics, so that our team can achieve the glory of winning gold. Vandana's brother Chandrashekhar Kataria and mother Swarna Devi welcomed the group's initiative and expressed their gratitude for the honour.

Group President Dr. Kamal Ghanshala said that Vandana, the first Indian female hockey player to score a hat-trick in Olympics, has brought India respect all over the world despite the facilities and resources. She has proved that every destination can be achieved with true dedication and hard work. On reaching India, Vandana will be greeted on behalf of the university.
