UKD protest against land mafia, demand for implementation of land law
UKD along with the villagers of Kodsi and Rakhwal village of Doiwala assembly staged a sit-in protest and sloganeering against the land mafia on Tuesday
Uttarakhand Kranti Dal along with the villagers of Kodsi and Rakhwal village of Doiwala assembly on Tuesday staged a sit-in protest and sloganeering against the land mafia. Along with this, there has also been a demand for the implementation of the land law.
Senior Uttarakhand Kranti Dal leader Shivprasad Prasad Semwal said that the BJP government has abolished the stringent law made by former Revenue Minister Diwakar Bhatt, due to which land mafia and outside buyers are fiercely buying and selling land in Uttarakhand and the lands of village society and forest department have been occupied.
Villagers also lodged a protest in Rakhwal village on this occasion over the fact that the administration has not demarcated their lands yet and people are buying and selling land without demarcation. UKD District President Sanjay Doval said that the land mafia is also getting the lands of the scheduled caste people registered indiscriminately by showing them to the general castes. UKD leader Kendrapal Singh Topwal said that the outside buyers are also closing the ancestral roads of the villagers by buying some land in the village and buying the land of the surrounding village society.
The team has demanded from the government that action should be taken against the Patwari and Tehsildar responsible for this by setting up an immediate inquiry, otherwise UKD will take the path of agitation along with the villagers. In this program of Uttarakhand Kranti Dal, along with the villagers, the district president of Yuva Morcha Seema Rawat, city president Suraj Topwal, and Shyam Sundar etc. officials and workers were also present.
