In Uttarakhand, the nursing staff associated with the Contractual and Unemployed Staff Nurses Federation demonstrated in Buddha Park in Haldwani on Saturday. They are demanding the cancellation of the proposed nursing recruitment exam on June 15. They say that some nursing workers turned positive while doing corona duty, while some are ill. They also said that the nursing service of many people has been up to 15 years. These people should be appointed in the order of seniority and not by taking such examinations.
They mentioned that the post of Staff Nurse is for a person with Diploma. It is also not right to decide the eligibility for such degree holders. By amending the government order, they demanded that 70 percent of posts should be fixed for diplomas and 30 percent for degree holders. The protesters have said that if the examination is not canceled then they will go on mass leave. If the work in hospitals is disrupted due to this, then the government will be responsible.
