Two pilgrims died of heart attack in Kedarnath and one in Yamunotri, 54 deaths in Chardham so far

The cases of death due to heart attack during Chardham Yatra are increasing continuously. A total of 54 passengers have died during the Chardham Yatra so far.

A total of 54 passengers have died during the Chardham Yatra so far. Two passengers who reached Kedarnath on Sunday to have darshan of Baba Kedar died of heart attack. On Monday, a passenger died of a heart attack in Yamunotri. 27 passengers died of heart attack in Kedarnath. While a passenger lost his life due to the fall.


In Kedarnath on Sunday, Preeti (58), resident of Brijdham, Rambagh Lane, SV Road, Borivali Maharashtra and Kirit A Trivedi (71) resident of Mumbai died suddenly due to deteriorating health. Doctors have stated the cause of death as chest pain and shortness of breath. CMO Dr. BK Shukla said that 28 passengers have died so far.


Along with this, from Sonprayag to Kedarnath, health of more than three thousand passengers is being checked and first aid is being provided to them every day at 14 MRP centers. CMO said that the oxygen cylinders were also given to the passengers and also the related investigation is being carried out on each MRP.
