Uttarakhand Transport Federation delegation met State Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj at his residence and submitted a memorandum
Uttarakhand Transport Federation delegation met State Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj at his residence and submitted a memorandum. In the memorandum, the federation has demanded that the Chardham Yatra be opened to all the countrymen soon.
Federation President Sudhir Rai apprised the Tourism Minister that the transport business is going through a very bad economic slowdown due to the non-operation of Chardham Yatra for the last two years. If the Char Dham Yatra is not operated soon, then the entire transport and tourism business will come to the brink of starvation. The government should start the operation of Char Dham Yatra as soon as possible. The federation also apprised the cabinet minister about the problems faced by the transport businessmen and requested him that during the Kedarnath disaster in the year 2013, the then government had waived the tax of two years for the vehicle owners.
The transport business also expects from this government that in view of the disaster caused by Corona, it is very necessary to extend the tax and age limit of two years to all vehicle owners. The cabinet minister assured that all the above demands would be placed in the meeting to be held tomorrow and a solution would be found after considering it seriously. The delegation included TGMOC Vice President Yashpal Rana, Director Balveer Singh Rautela, Traffic and Tourism Development Cooperative Federation Vice President Navinchand Ramola, In-charge of Joint Rotation Madan Kothari, Rishikesh Deluxe Taxi Association President Hemant Dung.
