Monsoon has knocked in Kedarnath Dham. While Kedarnagari is in the grip of fog, the heli services running to Kedarnath Dham have also left Kedar Ghati with their bags and beds. Out of nine heli services, only three heli services are providing their services.

In such a situation, these heli services will also leave from here in a day or two. So far, more than 80 thousand passengers have visited Baba Kedar through heli services.

But now news has come which will give you relief. Pilgrims will be able to visit Kedarnath by helicopter even during monsoon. After June 30, the Himalayan company will provide heli service to the devotees in Kedarnath Dham. Whereas till July 5, heli services will be provided by Aryan Aviation in Kedarnath Dham.

The cracks have also started appearing in the hills during the monsoon rains. In Rudraprayag, the very first rain of the monsoon killed one person. While one person is injured. Also, two buses were damaged after being hit by a boulder that fell from the hill. Talk about Kedarnath Dham, where it is raining continuously these days.

At the same time, Dham is also completely in the grip of fog. Bad weather in Dham has affected the heli service going to Kedarnath. In Dham where nine heli services were flying since last week. At the same time, now only three heli services are flying. These three heli services are also unable to go to Kedarnath due to bad weather. In such a situation, these heli services can also pack their bags from Kedar Ghati.

Tourism and Civil Aviation Secretary Dilip Jawalkar said that earlier the heli services in Shri Kedarnath Dham during monsoon were usually stopped by the heli companies. Now the condition of the monsoon is such that they take a positive step that heli service will be provided to the pilgrims even during the rainy days. Its direct benefit will be given to the pilgrims visiting Shri Kedarnath Dham during the rainy season. He said that the concerned officers have been instructed to follow the standards required for the heli service.

It is noteworthy that heli service is provided to the pilgrims from Guptkashi, Phata, and Sirsi of Rudraprayag district to visit Shri Kedarnath Dham. Heli service is operated through nine companies here.

For the first time this year, it has been decided to provide heli service to the devotees even in monsoon. The Himalayan company will operate 30-40 shuttles a day if the weather is favorable for flying during the monsoons. In this, about 200 to 250 pilgrims will be benefitted every day.

These heli services stopped services

Aero Aviation Guptkashi, Pawan Hans, Kristal, Pinnacle, Thambi, and Aero Sonprayag heli services operating for Dham have already packed their luggage from Kedar Ghati. While Chipsan is served from Fata, Aryan from Guptkashi, and Himalayan from Shersi. Chipson and Aryan will continue to provide services till June 30. Whereas the Himalayan will remain till July 10. 

In the meantime, if the weather continues to deteriorate, then these heli services will also collect their luggage from here. Then heli services will start for Kedarnath Dham from September when the weather is clear.
