The world-famous Kainchi Dham closed indefinitely. Know the reason

The speed of corona infection may have reduced in the state, but the danger is not averted yet and because of this, the gate of the famous Neem Karauli Baba temple in Kainchi Dham located on the National Highway of Almora has been closed indefinitely. Along with this, the festival of Kainchi Dham to be held on 15th June has also been cancelled.

Let us tell you that on June 15, the Kainchi Mahotsav is supposed to be organized, but due to the danger of infection, the administration and the temple committee have decided to close the gate of the temple. Given the increasing crowd due to the annual fair, on Saturday, the temple committee has closed the main gate by putting a rope.

Temple manager Vinod Joshi said that this decision has been taken keeping an eye on the corona infection. He said that as the Kainchi Mahotsav was approaching, the number of devotees in the temple has started increasing every day. As the government lifted the restrictions on travel, devotees from outside states are also continuously reaching the temple for darshan in large numbers. He said that gathering in the temple during the corona period is a dangerous sign and can increase the risk of infection. In such a situation, the doors of the temple have been closed for the devotees for a certain period. SDM Vinod Kumar has told that this decision has been taken to prevent the spread of infection.

Every year on 15th June, a fair is organized at Neeb Karauli in Almora, which is attended by people from different states. In 1964, Baba Neeb Karauli Maharaj had established the Hanuman temple in Kainchi Dham, after which every year on 15th June, there is a devotional atmosphere here in Kainchi Dham. Hundreds of devotees from all over the country and abroad visit the fair. Every year on 15th June the presence of more than one lakh devotees is recorded inside the temple but this time the fair will not be organized due to Covid.
Pradeep Sah of the temple committee said that preparations for the fair start two months in advance, but this year preparations have not been started. Like last year, this time also there will be no fair in Kainchi Dham.

The temple committee has banned devotees coming from outside in the 57th Kainchi Mahotsav to be held on June 15 and is considering celebrating the Kainchi Mahotsav with utmost simplicity. Now on the coming 15th of June, like normal days without any crowd, Bhog will be offered to Neeb Karauli Maharaj and worship will be done in the usual way.
