At least 2 teachers will now be posted in every government school in Uttarakhand. State Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat has given instructions to the officials during the review meeting of the Education Department. Apart from this, the Education Minister has said that now the single-teacher arrangement will end.

The state government has taken a big decision to improve the condition of primary education. A minimum of two teachers will be posted in government primary and upper primary schools. There will be internal exams every 15 days to improve performance in board exams. Schools are divided into four categories in terms of the availability of buildings and resources.

Instructions to end single teacher system

School Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat conducted a departmental review at the ICT Center at Rajiv Navodaya Vidyalaya, Nanurkheda. He instructed to end of the single teaching system in hundreds of government primary and upper primary schools of the state. Along with this, a minimum of two teachers have been asked to be posted in each school.

Schools continue to run during his stay, so the single-teacher system will end. The minister said that there are many schools where there are more teachers than the standard, in which schools for additional education, they will be posted in single-teacher schools at the block level itself. He also said that the students of classes 10th and 12th should keep in mind the board examinations of the students. Keeping in mind the students will be given special preparation.

Dr. Rawat said that a new action plan is being implemented to improve the performance of secondary schools in board examinations. Special preparation will be done for the students of classes 10th and 12th for the board exams.

There will be an internal examination every 15 days so that the board examinees can be prepared in a better way. It was decided in the meeting that a survey would be conducted to provide basic facilities in government schools. Based on the availability of buildings and resources, they will be classified into four categories.

In the next financial year, DPR will be prepared according to the requirement of reconstruction and repair of school buildings, furniture, laboratory, library, boundary wall, electricity, drinking water, and toilets. Fund allocation to such schools will be arranged in the budget.
