Suspense remains on Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand, preparations may take a big blow

Devotees preparing to go on Chardham Yatra may once again get a major setback. The state government has said to start the Chardham Yatra from July 1. The preparations for the yatra are also going on in full swing, but there is a doubt whether the yatra will start or not. The High Court has taken a strict stand regarding the Chardham Yatra. The court has clearly asked the state government to either postpone the journey, or extend the date. The Nainital High Court has asked to inform the court by June 28 about every aspect and preparation related to safe travel. The health department will also have to submit a detailed report by July 7. A bench headed by Chief Justice RS Chauhan has given these directions after hearing public interest litigations regarding the corona epidemic. During the hearing, Chief Secretary Om Prakash, Health Secretary Amit Negi and Joint Secretary Tourism Dr. Ashish Chauhan appeared in the court. During this, the court said that the Union Health Secretary and the Director of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences have warned the states about the third wave of coronavirus. The Delta Plus variant is believed to be more intense and dangerous. It is feared that the third wave of Corona may knock in the first week of October.

Cases of Delta Plus variants have been reported in three states. The example of Mahakumbh is before us. After the Mahakumbh, the second wave of corona spread rapidly in the country. Recently, on the occasion of Ganga Dussehra, more than one lakh people reached Haridwar. During this, Kovid standards were openly violated. The police administration also failed to control the crowd. The third wave of corona can threaten the lives of children. Talking on all these facts, the court raised questions on the decision of the state government to allow Chardham Yatra. The court has asked Health Secretary Amit Negi to submit a report by July 7 regarding the infrastructural development of health facilities in the state given the third wave of the corona. Let us tell you that the government has decided to open Chardham Yatra in two phases for the people of the state. The Yatra will be started for the people of Chamoli, Rudraprayag and Uttarkashi districts from July 1. While preparations are on to open the yatra for all the districts from July 11.
