The Uttarakhand government started preparations to open the school from August 2 but, students will come to school only after the permission of their parents. The government has decided that students will not be allowed to come to school without parental consent. Education Secretary Radhika Jha said that it is necessary to open schools, but the life of students and teachers is also important. For this, the SOP will be decided only after collective discussions regarding the operation of the school, the safety of the students. On Friday, principals, parent representatives of major private schools of Doon have been invited to discuss the SOP for opening the school.
Online education will also continue
The Education Secretary said that online education will continue even after the opening of schools. Arrangements are being made that students who do not come to school should join the class through mobiles, laptops. Teachers can connect students to the class by creating WhatsApp groups. Where there is no online facility, studies will be continued through WhatsApp and worksheets. Also, the monthly examination has been made mandatory.
