It is reported that there was a fight between the cadets in the Indian Military Academy a few months ago, after which action has been taken against 6 cadets from Tajikistan and 4 from India. The Indian Army has taken this incident very seriously. Action is being taken against the cadets, while an officer has been blamed for this lapse.
It is reported that this year there were 3 incidents at IMA on 24 February, 2 March and 3 March. It is being told that on March 3, Wednesday night, there was an altercation between the two sides of the cadets over a minor issue. This altercation soon turned into a fight. Meanwhile, kicking and punching started fiercely on both the sides. Within no time a large crowd gathered there. Later, somehow both the sides were pacified. It is being told that many cadets were injured in the fight.
Confirming the assault, the IMA administration said that the Gentlemen Cadets were assaulted during pre-commission training on Wednesday night. Following this, disciplinary proceedings have been ordered against 6 Gentleman Cadets from Tajikistan and four Gentlemen Cadets from India. It is told that on March 3, there was a fight between the cadets with iron rods, wooden planks, sticks and stones.
After this conflict, the Ambassador of Tajikistan also visited the IMA. Orders of the Court of Inquiry were also given in the matter. It is reported that an officer of the rank of Colonel was also convicted for this case. Sources say that the officer denied the allegations leveled against him in the Court of Inquiry. The army has taken this incident seriously. In all, action has been ordered against 10 Gentleman Cadets.
