State government should lift the ban on transfers in the education department - STA

In the online meeting of the State Teachers Association, a demand was raised to remove the ban on transfers in the Education Department. The union said that there should be transfers in the department based on requests. This will not put any financial burden on the state government.

The discrepancies of transfer and golden card were discussed in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Kamal Kishore Dimri, the provincial president of the State Teachers Association. The State President said that the transfer session should not be void in any case. Teachers should be given the benefit of this by starting applications for transfers on a request basis. The union is in support of the Golden Card scheme, but till its discrepancies are removed, the contribution deduction from the salary of the employees should be stopped. Provincial General Secretary Dr. Sohan Singh Majila said that on the demand of transfer, the block, district, divisional and provincial executives of the union would send a memorandum to the MLAs, MPs, ministers, government and Chief minister of their area and campaign.

Adjusted teachers selected - demand for promotion

The teachers adjusted from Basic to LT have raised questions on the dual policy of selection-promoted pay scale. The teachers met Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker Raghunath Singh Chouhan on Thursday. Union State President Dinesh Phuleria said that a similar mandate should be implemented on all teachers. They said that 11 years ago more than 7000 teachers were accommodated from Basic to LT but the services of BASIC were not added to these teachers while giving the benefit of the selected promotion pay scale.

Since the adjustment, all the teachers are demanding from the Education Department and the State Government to give the benefit of the selection-promoted pay scale by adding the previous services. The department has so far given the benefit of selection-promoted pay scale to only those adjusted teachers who filed a petition in the court. The court has ordered to give the benefit of the pay scale to all the adjusted teachers but the department is not following it. The Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker assured the teachers of the appropriate action to discuss the matter with the Education Department soon. During this Pradeep Kumar Verma, Kishan Singh, Girish Bisht, Dayaram Arya were present.
