Due to the second wave of corona infection, a lot of people are looking for a CT scan check-up as it provides an accurate report of the infection in the body
Due to the second wave of corona infection, a lot of people are looking for a CT scan check-up as it provides an accurate report of the infection. Taking advantage of the situation, private centers were charging more money from the general public for a CT scan. The public was demanding for a long time that the rates of city scan should be fixed. The government has finally heard them and on Friday, fixed the rate of CT Scan to Rs 2800 and Rs 3200.
When the cases of corona have started decreasing, the government finally woke up and has fixed the rate of CT scans. This should have been done earlier when people were thronging to hospitals or private labs for a CT Scan during the Covid curfew. Now that the state government has fixed the rate, it is expected that patients will not have to pay more during the expected upcoming third wave of corona infection.
The Uttarakhand government has also issued an order in this regard, according to the order issued, the patient will have to pay 2800 for a CT scan with less than 16 slices. For a CT scan of more than 16 slices, a rate of Rs 3200 has been fixed. Earlier Rs 5000 to Rs 8000 were being charged for CT scans at many private labs.
