Of the five friends who came to visit Rishikesh from Mumbai, three were washed away while taking a bath in the Ganges on Wednesday. Munikireti  Station Police, Water Police and SDRF personnel will conduct search operations even today to find all three. The soldiers also launched a rescue operation on Wednesday, but the victims could not be traced anywhere.

Police station Munikireti said that at around 3 pm on Wednesday, they got information that three people were washed away while taking a bath in the Ganges in front of Ganga View Hotel on Laxmanjhula Road. The police reached the spot and started an investigation. After interrogation, it was found that Karan Mishra (20) son Paresh Mishra, resident of Mumbai, F-104, Orchid, Suburdia, New Link Road, Kandivali West Mumbai- 47, Nisha Goswami (21) daughter Umesh Goswami, resident 1406 Building No. 2 , Aakriti Uptown, Mira Road East Mumbai, Melroy Dante (21) son Robert Dante, Apoorva Kelkar (21) daughter Hemant Kelkar, resident Borivali East Uddhavnagar Mumbai 66 and Madhushree Khursange (21) daughter Prabhakar Khursange, resident 703, Burunali Borivali, East Uddhavnagar Mumbai-66, a team of five people had come to visit the pilgrimage town on August 1.

They were staying at Ganga View Hotel in Tapovan. On Wednesday, they went out for a walk on the banks of the Ganges and took a bath. For this, they reached the river bank by jumping from the gate facing the river from Hotel Ganga View. Two people started bathing on the banks of the Ganges but out of these Melroy Dante, Apoorva Kelkar and Madhushree Khursange went ahead. Suddenly a girl's foot slipped in it. In the process of saving her, two of her other companions also got washed away in the strong current of the river.

Fun spoiled

Five friends who came to visit the pilgrimage city never thought that their three companions would be separated from where they were going. The glory of Mother Ganga what they have seen and heard on social media, the same mother Ganga would take away their companions.

On Wednesday, five friends, Nisha Goswami, Karan Mishra, Melroy Dante, Apoorva and Mudhshree, who were taking a bath on the banks of the Ganges, were doing a lot of stunts on the banks of the Ganges. But they never thought that their three friends would get separated from like this.

During this Melroy, Apoorva and Madhushree went ahead without knowing the depth of the Ganges. And all three of them got lost in the strong current of the Ganges. The other two friends are in shock at the loss of their friends.
