Rudraprayag : Discussion on the problems of farmers in the Kisan Sabha conference
The 18th conference of the All India Kisan Sabha Village Committee was held in the primary school Shersi under the chairmanship of farmer leader Suraj Lal
Inaugurating the conference, the Provincial General Secretary of the Kisan Sabha, Gangadhar Nautiyal said that the All India Kisan Sabha was founded by Swami Sahajanand Saraswati on 11 April 1936. During that period, the Kisan Sabha organized the farmers of the country and got freedom from British rule and today again within the Kisan Sabha, it is continuously fighting against the anti-farmer policies of the anti-farmer governments.
Kisan Sabha has organized a big movement by organizing five hundred farmer organizations of the country. In the conference, a resolution was passed to withdraw the anti-farmer agricultural laws, to get rid of the terror of wild animals and illegal encroachment on the land of Van Panchayat in Shersi.
In the conference, 29 new members were included to elect the new executive for the village committee. In which President Suraj Lal, Vice President Urmila Semwal, Arvind Semwal, Secretary Mohan Nautiyal, Co-Secretaries Vipin Semwal and Anandi Devi and Treasurer Sateshwari Devi were elected. Apart from this, many members including Khimanand Goswami, Arun Kumar, Sunil Kumar, Suraj Sharma, Vishnudat Semwal, Rameshwar Prasad were included in the members. On this occasion, CITU District Minister Birendra Goswami, Janwadi Mahila Samiti's District Minister Uma Nautiyal, Sulochana Devi, Kusum Devi, Sandeep Goswami, Umesh Nautiyal and many activists were present
