For tourists coming to Uttarakhand from outside states, the Uttarakhand government will do away with the mandatory RTPCR report. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami made this disclosure in the program of a TV channel. He said that in the new guideline, the restriction of RTPCR test will be removed.

Covid curfew is in force in the state till August 4. On Tuesday, the state government will issue a new standard operating procedure regarding the Covid curfew. In last week's SOP, the government did away with the mandatory RTPCR report for those coming from outside states, who have been given double doses of Covid vaccine for 15 days.

In the neighboring state of Himachal, the requirement of RTPCR has been done away with. Being a tourism state, the state government is also under pressure from tourism businessmen to do away with the mandatory RTPCR. During the program of a TV channel on Friday, the Chief Minister revealed that the mandatory RTPCR on the entry of tourists and people coming from outside states will be done away with. Its guidelines will be issued.
