Under the Higher Education Department, 701 vacant posts of educational and non-teaching posts in the government colleges will be filled soon. In this, the proposal for the requisition of 455 vacancies of teachers and 25 posts of librarians in various faculties of colleges will be sent to the State Public Service Commission soon. The State Subordinate Selection Service Commission will also recruit 221 posts of Group 'C'.
Under the chairmanship of Higher Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, the review meeting of the Higher Education Department was held in the Vidhan Sabha. In the meeting, Dr. Rawat urged the officers to initiate the necessary process for promotion from colleges under Career Advancement Scheme, speedy DPC on five vacant posts of principal in colleges, Wi-Fi facility and computer lab within one month in all colleges and directed to set up science laboratories.
He said that in the last four years, about 750 posts of teachers have been filled in the department through the State Public Service Commission whereas, the requisition for 455 vacant posts of teachers and 25 vacant posts of librarians will be sent to the State Public Service Commission within a week. Similarly, instructions have been given to send the requisition to the Subordinate Selection Service Commission to fill up 221 posts of Group 'C'.
In the meeting, Director Higher Education Dr. Kumkum Rawat demanded the creation of posts of one Law Officer and four Junior Engineers besides sanctioning separate cadre of Directorate on which the Departmental Minister Dr. Rawat asked the government to send the proposal.
