The parade ground has been selected for the proposed rally of former Congress national president Rahul Gandhi in Dehradun on December 16. An application has been made on behalf of the party for permission from the district administration for this. Prior to this, the state in-charge Devendra Yadav and other leaders also inspected the Bannu School Ground located at Race Course for the selection of the place. Finally, the parade ground was selected.

In this rally to be organized on the 50th anniversary of India's historic victory over Pakistan in the war during the creation of Bangladesh, ex-servicemen and the families of martyred soldiers will be honored with the Priyadarshini Military Award. This will be Rahul's first visit to the state before the elections.

In this regard, State President Ganesh Godiyal told that a session will be held in the Vidhan Sabha on December 9. Before this, there is also a meeting of the CLP on December 8, which all the MLAs will attend. During this, a decisive meeting will be held regarding the preparations for Rahul Gandhi's rally. He said that on Sunday, along with the selection of the venue for the preparations for the rally, the primary issues were discussed, in which senior leaders presented their views.

For the upcoming elections, BJP will soon take out the Jan Ashirwad Yatra and Vijay Sankalp rallies in all the assembly constituencies of the state. The party has made preparations for this. These yatras will be started from Dehradun next week. Raths will be sent for each assembly constituencies for the yatras.

BJP state president Madan Kaushik told that the party is going to start two big programs from next week for the elections. Preparations have been done for this, under which the Jan Ashirwad rally and Vijay Sankalp rally will be taken out in each assembly constituencies. For this, one Yatra Rath is being prepared for 70 assembly constituencies. During these visits, people's suggestions on the election manifesto will also be taken.

He said that in this month conferences of youth, women, minorities, scheduled castes, tribes, other fronts, and cells of the party would be organized. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally will be organized in Kumaon this month.
