New appointed Health Minister Cabinet Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat held meetings with IMA officials and private hospital operators and sought suggestions after discussing in detail with the aim of further strengthening the health facilities in the state. Private hospital operators and IMA officials mentioned the problems Ayushman and golden card users faced during treatment. Dr. Rawat said that the practical problems being faced by the cardholders during the treatment in the hospitals listed by the State Government would be removed soon. For this, he directed Health Secretary Amit Negi over the phone.
State Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat discussed in detail the health system with the operators of private hospitals and officials of IMA in the assembly hall today. During this, the hospital operators and IMA officials told that during the treatment, Ayushman and Golden Cardholders are facing many problems and there are many people of the state whose names have not yet been included in the list of Ayushman Bharat and there is no provision in the scheme for pre-diagnosis bills payments for emergency medical facilities. The Departmental Minister said that he would soon organize a high-level meeting of departmental officers and solve the problems related to Ayushman and Golden Card.
In view of the possible third wave of corona infection in the state, Health Minister Dr. Rawat asked the private hospital operators to be ready to deal with all the situations and also asked the officials of IMA to give public useful suggestions to the government from time to time. IMA officials and private hospital operators demanded effective implementation of the Uttarakhand Medical Nursing Service Personnel and Service Institutions Act from time to time to stop the untoward incidents with doctors and support staff in hospitals. On which the departmental minister assured that necessary action will be taken by the government in this regard soon
