Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday landed at the helipad of AIIMS Rishikesh at around 11 am in an army helicopter. PM Modi inaugurated the Modern Oxygen Plant constructed from PM Cares Fund at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh.

PM Modi inaugurated the Modern Oxygen Plant constructed from PM Cares Fund at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh. Along with this, he will also virtual inaugurate 35 oxygen plants set up from this fund across the country.

All the preparations have been completed by the government and administration for the arrival of the Prime Minister to AIIMS Rishikesh. The Special Protection Group (SPG) has taken over the security arrangements of the venue and the surrounding area. Uttarakhand Police is cooperating in the security arrangements. Tight security arrangements have been made around AIIMS. The facility to land three helicopters is available in the already constructed helipad at AIIMS. Army helicopters have rehearsed the landing here. In view of the Prime Minister's visit, on Wednesday, from Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to the top officials of the administration, took stock of the system here. The Chief Minister has given instructions to the officers to complete all the arrangements on time.

The Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister has a special attachment to Uttarakhand. As a result of this, the state has got the gift of Kedarnath reconstruction including all-weather road, Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail project, strengthening of air connectivity through UDAN scheme. On the other hand, Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that the Prime Minister will be received by Governor Lt Gen Gurmeet Singh (Seni) and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami when he reaches Rishikesh. In the inauguration program of the oxygen plant, along with the ministers of the government, the legislators of the opposition, and all the MPs of the state have also been invited.
