Preparation for transfers of primary and upper primary teachers, zero transfer session for secondary
Due to Covid, the year 2021-22 has been declared as zero transfer session in the state. Last year was also declared as the zero transfer session
The exploits of the Uttarakhand Education Department are also amazing. The department is preparing for transfers of teachers of primary and upper primary schools under section 27. For this, applications are being sought from the teachers, but applications are not being taken from the teachers of the secondary schools and the reason given to them is of zero session. Due to this, the teachers of secondary are upset with double standards in the same department.
Due to Covid in the state, the year 2021-22 has been declared as zero transfer session. Whereas last year was also a zero transfer session year. Despite this, a large number of primary teachers were transferred. Now on behalf of the department, once again applications are being sought from the teachers of primary and upper primary schools under section 27. In the order issued by the department, it has been said that for inter-cadre transfers under section 27, permission has been given by the government for transfers.
Secondary teachers are angry with this. They says that a dual policy is being adopted regarding transfers in the same department. According to Dr. Sohan Singh Majila, Provincial General Secretary of State Teachers Association, after the year 2020, now 2021 has also been declared as zero transfer session.
In the year 2020, about eight hundred teachers have been transferred. The government transferred these teachers under section 27. After which, in the year 2021 also, the transfers of 250 primary teachers are approved. Whereas secondary teachers are being ignored in this matter. Last year, applications were sought from secondary teachers by the department, 2500 teachers applied for this, but these applications were not implemented by the government.
The transfer session is zero, but if any teacher is seriously ill, then applications are being sought from those teachers under section 27. After considering these applications, they will be sent to the government said Virendra Singh Rawat, Additional Director Basic Education.
