There is news of relief for the patients coming to Doon Hospital. After about one and a half months now OPD is going to start here. OPD will start next week. It is proposed to admit normal patients in the next phase. A report in this regard has been sought from all HODs on behalf of Principal Dr. Ashutosh Sayana. Every day 1000 to 1500 patients visit the OPD of Doon Hospital. Corona patients have become very less in the hospital now. There are about 60 patients admitted to the hospital at present. After this, steps are being taken towards normalizing the hospital.
Doctors and staff have also started slowing down. Their training is going on keeping in mind the third wave. Principal Dr. Ashutosh Sayana says that some work is going on in the OPD building. HOD has been asked to be ready to start OPD from next week. At the same time, arrangements are being made in the wards for the recruitment of general patients. The facility of examination, X-ray and ultrasound for general patients will be available in the new building.
Wait and watch position after the market opens
Some HODs have given their reports to the principal. He has said that the second wave of the corona has weakened, but is not completely gone that is why we will wait for the markets to open after the corona curfew is over and then will monitor the situation closely. Any further decision should be taken after monitoring the situation and will be updated accordingly. The OPD will be started from next week itself.
Just rhetoric for MRI
MRI machine in Doon hospital is defective for more than a year. The patients are facing a lot of problems due to this. Black fungus patients are suffering the most. Now when OPD starts, neuro patients will have problems. For a long time, the college management is just playing rhetoric, no concrete steps have been taken. Last year, there was so much carelessness that the entire budget has lapsed.
