He said that the monthly pension of World War II Veterans has been increased from eight to ten thousand. It will benefit about eight hundred families of the state. At the same time, financial assistance of fifty thousand rupees will be given to the children of ex-servicemen who have passed NDA/CDS or equivalent written examination for the preparation of SSB.
Apart from this, a hostel will also be constructed in Haldwani for the convenience of the children of soldiers and ex-servicemen in their studies. In Garhwal and Kumaon, honor ceremonies will be organized in honor of Veer Naris and soldiers decorated with gallantry medals. Regarding Sainik Dham, he said that all necessary arrangements are being made for this and Sainik Dham will start taking shape soon.
He said that from September 1, Sainik Samman Yatra is also being organized in the state, under which kin of martyrs and soldiers decorated with gallantry medals will be honored. At the same time, the soil of the martyr's courtyard will be brought for the Sainik dham.
