In Chander Nagar, more than 150 deep freezers are gathering dust in the Central Drug Store of the Health Department. MLA Khajandas expressed his displeasure on this. He has given instructions to the officers to send them to hospitals soon.
About six months ago, when preparations were on to start the Covid-19 vaccination, the need for deep freezers was felt to maintain the cold chain of the vaccine but, due to the poor arrangement of the Health Department, in the Central Drug Store of Uttarakhand, more than 150 deep freezers are lying in the open amid the rain and sun. These freezers are lying in the Central Drug Store of the Health Department located in Chandan Nagar, Dehradun. The department did not even bother to keep them in a safe place or in a shade. There is a possibility of them getting completely spoiled due to rain.
Dr. Vinita Shah, Director, Kendriya Aushadhi Bhandar says that deep freezers are being sent to other districts in a phased manner. Rajpur MLA Khajandas has said that the department is making arrangements to keep these freezers safe.
Now less than 100 patients in Doon

In the city's main Doon government hospital, the number of patients has come down to 100. These numbers were in 300 to 400 patients only till a few days back. Now the doctors and staff are also feeling relief due to the decrease in patients. Only 70 patients were admitted to the hospital on Friday. Principal Dr. Ashutosh Sayana told that now the patients have reduced to a great extent.
