Heavy rain warning

According to the forecast, heavy rain may occur in Haridwar, Almora, Udhamsinghnagar, Tehri on Saturday whereas, warnings of landslides and floods in rivers and streams have also been issued. An orange alert will remain in place for Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Rudraprayag, Dehradun, Nainital and Champawat on Sunday as well. On June 14 and 15, a yellow alert has been issued for heavy rain in hilly districts like Pithoragarh, Nainital, Champawat, and for strong winds reaching 40 kmph in plains. According to meteorologist Rohit Thapliyal, the weather is expected to remain like this till June 16.
