Many green trees were cut to set up an oxygen plant in Haldwani. Environment lovers are angry

The Corona period made us understand the importance of oxygen very well. When people were yearning for breath, we realized how important it is to replenish the oxygen we are drawing from the atmosphere. Now people have started coming forward for tree plantation, pictures of plantations are coming from place to place, but in Haldwani, the opposite happened.

According to a report, more than half a dozen trees were cut, including many green trees, in the Sushila Tiwari Hospital here, and all this happened in the name of setting up an oxygen plant. Actually, an oxygen plant is to be installed in the hospital, in which green trees were becoming a hindrance. In such a situation, the forest department team reached the spot and got the green trees cut. Let us inform that preparations were going on for a long time to set up an oxygen plant in STH, but the matter was pending as the management was not able to find the right spot for the plant.

After a long process, the management decided to set up an oxygen plant behind the STH, but there were many green trees in that area. Seeing no solution, the forest department decided to cut these trees. More than a dozen trees were cut on Wednesday. The hospital management has its own arguments for cutting trees. MS Dr. Arun Joshi told that the oxygen plant is very sensitive. The selection of a suitable site for the plant is essential. For this, a letter was written to the Forest Department. After which the team reached the spot and cut the trees.

Whatever the hospital management may say, environmental lovers are expressing their displeasure over the cutting of green trees. People say that green trees were sacrificed in the name of the plant, instead, other options should have been looked at.
