Indian star batsman Smriti Mandhana has been voted the best female cricketer of the year 2021 by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for her outstanding performance in all formats. Apart from Mandhana, England cricketers Tammy Beaumont Natalie Sciver, and Gaby Lewis of Ireland were other contenders for the award. Leaving all these behinds, this Indian star won the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Award.

Prior to this, she has also been the best women's cricketer and best women's ODI cricketer in 2018.

After this, he played brilliant innings of 127 runs in the Day-Night Test. Although the match ended in a draw, Mandhana has adjudged the player of the match for her century.

Talking about the rest of the players nominated for this award, Tammy Beaumont scored 872 runs in 21 international matches at an average of 48.44 in the year 2021. At the same time, Lizelle Lee of South Africa scored 864 runs in 19 international matches at an average of 57.6 last year. Ireland's Gabby Lewis scored 624 runs in 15 international matches at an average of 52 in 2021.

Also nominated for Best T20 Cricketer

Mandhana was also nominated by the ICC for the Best Women's T20 Cricketer of 2021, but the award went to Tammy Beaumont. Mandhana had scored 255 runs in nine T20 Internationals last year at an average of 31.87 and two half-centuries. At the same time, Beaumont scored 303 runs in nine matches at an average of 33.66.
