Lovlina's stubbornness and desire to learn came from childhood when she wanted to learn to swim with her two sisters, but she did not have any pond. The three children did not give up on the circumstances and dug a pond to learn to swim. Lovlina's journey started in 2010, when she joined Thai Boxing. Her coach Prashant Kumar Das soon noticed that Lovlina had an inclination towards boxing. She used to box for hours. Prashant said, "After three months I saw that she could be taken to the ring. I took her to the states and then to the national level, where she also won a medal."
