The central government has issued a notification regarding Anil Chauhan. For his distinguished and distinguished service in the Army, Lt Gen Anil Chauhan (Retd) has been awarded Param Vishisht Seva Mandal, Uttam Yudh Seva Mandal, Ati Vishisht Seva Mandal, Sena Mandal, and Vishisht Seva Mandal. Let us tell you that retired Lieutenant General Anil Chauhan started his army with the Gorkha Rifle and for almost 40 years he served in various important positions in the military.

Anil Chauhan was also involved in the planning of the strike in Balakot. In which his strategy efficiency was seen. Let us tell you that after giving 40 years of service to the army, Anil Chauhan retired last year. He also played an important role in the campaign to end terrorist activities along the border of Jammu and Kashmir North East.

Let us tell you that retired Lieutenant General Anil Chauhan belongs to Garhwal in Uttarakhand. At the same time, before this, the first CDS of the Indian Army was Lieutenant General Bipin Rawat. Those who were from Uttarakhand only. Who had died in a helicopter crash. Since then this post was lying vacant.

CDS Anil Chauhan hails from the Pauri district of Uttarakhand

Two other CDS of the country, Anil Chauhan, are natives of the Pauri district of Uttarakhand. He is going to take over the command of CDS after Vipin Rawat. It can be considered a coincidence that Bipin Rawat was also a resident of the Pauri district of Uttarakhand and second is Anil Chauhan of the country is also a resident of the Pauri district. 

Uttarakhand is a soldier-dominated state, in such a situation, the youth join the army and protect the borders of the country, and do not hesitate to make their supreme sacrifice. In such a situation, Uttarakhand has once again given the country as CDS to Anil Chauhan, about which an atmosphere of enthusiasm is being seen in the state.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has extended warm congratulations and best wishes to Lt Gen Anil Chauhan Ji (Sen) on being appointed as the Chief of Defense Staff (CDS). The Chief Minister said that every Uttarakhand resident is proud of the son of Uttarakhand being appointed as the Chief of Defense Staff. The Chief Minister said, "we have full confidence that under your able leadership, the Indian Army will set a new record in the field of national security as always."

Let us tell you that the historic decision of CDS was taken in 2019 under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and it was decided to give a lead to the command of the three services. After which the post of Chief of Army Staff was formed and General Bipin Rawat commanded the first CDS. General Bipin Rawat's helicopter crashed near the Nilgiris on 8 December 2021. In which a total of 14 officers, military officers, were martyred. Since then the post of CDS has been running vacant. But now as the second CDS, R. Lt Gen Anil Chauhan will take over the command.
