TJ Gnanvel's Tamil film 'Jai Bheem' is making its way into the audience despite being mired in controversies and criticism. The audience is neither holding back from watching it nor praising it. Starring South's superstar Suriya, this film is constantly in the news. Now 'Jai Bhim' has made another record in its name, for which its team is getting congratulations.

The film has now surpassed 'The Shawshank Redemption' to become the highest-rated IMDb film. 'Jai Bheem' has got a 9.6 rating out of 10.

The film, which was released on Amazon Prime on November 2, has achieved such a huge achievement in IMDb ratings in just a few days. Despite constant protests and controversies, it is really a big deal to come first on the list of IMDB.

South's director TJ Gnanwell has directed this film. He is also its author. Based on a famous case of Justice Chandra, a judge of Madras High Court, this film shows the oppression of a tribe of Tamil Nadu. Apart from Superstar Suriya, stars like Lijomol Jose, K Manikandan, Rajisha Vijayan, Rao Ramesh, and Prakash Raj have also done strong performances in the film.

After the release of this film, people from the Vanniyar community of Tamil Nadu had lodged an objection against some of its scenes. Since then the lead actor Suriya was being targeted continuously. Meanwhile, director TJ Gannavel issued an apology written in the Tamil language, saying that he did not intend to insult any individual or community through the film. He expresses his heartfelt condolences to those who have been hurt by this.
