Investigation order against former Ayurveda director, many serious allegations
Former Ayurveda Director Dr. Arun Kumar Tripathi has been accused of irregularities in the appointment of pharmacists
The government has finally set up an inquiry against Dr. Arun Kumar Tripathi, former director of Ayurveda, Uttarakhand. The investigation into the allegations of irregularities against him has been entrusted to the Secretary-Incharge to the Chief Minister S N Pandey. Dr. Tripathi is currently posted as Principal in Gurukul Kangri Ayurved College.
Dr. Arun Kumar Tripathi was posted as Acting Director in the Department of Ayurveda from the year 2014 to 2019. While holding the post of director, he is accused that even after the failure of samples of Ayurveda medicines, the companies were paid.
Misuse of government vehicle and irregularities in petrol bill, medical officers and pharmacists were deployed at places as per their wish without permission even after the government terminated their affiliation. It was also alleged that irregularities were made in the appointment of pharmacists. Secretary Incharge Ayush, Chandresh Kumar Yadav has ordered a preliminary inquiry into the complaints received against the former director.
Let us inform you that under the Departmental Service Manual, Dr. Tripathi was posted as Acting Director Ayurveda. In the year 2019, the government removed him from this post and sent him back to the original posting as the principal of Gurukul Kangri Ayurved College. At the same time, there was a demand from the Government Ayurveda and Unani Medical Services Association to investigate the allegations against the former director while the file at the government level to make Dr. Tripathi the director again was also going around.
