Health Minister Dhan Singh Rawat took a review meeting of the Health Department in the State Health Authority auditorium, Dehradun. He instructed the officials to make Ayushman cards for thousands of orphan children living in orphanages across the state. For this, instructions have been given to the officers for secretary-level talks with the Child Development Department and Food Supplies soon.
During this, he told that thousands of orphan children and youth are living in different orphanages in the state, who will be given the benefit of Ayushman Yojana. Further, he said that to improve health facilities, departmental high officials will go to the hospital from district to block level and interact with the patients under the health communication program and take feedback from them, after which the health systems could be improved further.
The Minister said that a two-day 'Chintan Shivir' would be organized in July with the objective of making the benefits of various health schemes run under the Health Department reach the common man and strengthening the health facilities. In this, along with the departmental officers, there will be brainstorming with experienced people working in the field of health.
In the meeting, Secretary Health Radhika Jha, Chairman State Health Authority DK Kotia, Mission Director NHM Sonika, Vice-Chancellor Uttarakhand Medical University Prof. Hemchandra, Additional Secretary Medical Education Arunendra Singh Chauhan, and Director Health and Family Welfare Mitu Shah, and other departmental officers were present.
