During the hearing of public interest litigations filed against the poor health systems of the state, the High Court asked the government what are the preparations to deal with the delta variant of Corona? Also, asked what happened to the reports of the 300 samples of the suspected delta variant that were sent for testing? The government has to respond by August 18. Apart from this, the High Court has asked the government to increase the speed of vaccination and increase the number of vaccination centers.
The matter was heard on Wednesday in a division bench of Chief Justice Justice RS Chauhan and Justice Alok Kumar Verma. The Bench ordered that those with disabilities who are unable to reach vaccination should be vaccinated at their homes. Along with this, the officers were instructed to personally monitor the vaccination. State Health Secretary was also present during the hearing.
He told the court that there are total 95 blocks in the state, where there are 54 ambulances. 41 more ambulances are needed. For this, demand has been sent to the Union Health Ministry. No positive reply could be given from the government side regarding the ambulances present in the district hospitals. The court asked the government that how many deaths have occurred due to corona in the state so far? The division bench directed the government to submit a detailed reply on all points by August 18 in the court. In this case, many people including advocates Dushyant Mainali, Satchidanand Dabral have filed public interest litigations.
