The Congress party today held the BJP government in the state responsible for the ban imposed by the High Court on the Char Dham Yatra
The Congress party today held the BJP government in the state responsible for the ban imposed by the High Court on the Char Dham Yatra. The party alleges that the BJP government did not want the Char Dham Yatra to go on this time. State Congress Committee vice-president Suryakant Dhasmana, while interacting with the reporters, said that the state government could not address the concerns of the High Court which is unfortunate. He was reacting to the order of the High Court. He said that the High Court was constantly seeking answers from the government regarding the preparations for the Char Dham Yatra, RTPCR, Antigen Test, Oxygen ICU arrangement. The control of the number of passengers was the main concern of the High Court. The state government was even reprimanded that conditions like Kumbh would not be allowed to happen, but despite this, the state government could not satisfy the court about the solid arrangements for Char Dham Yatra, because of which today's decision came.
Dhasmana said that the reality is that there are no complete preparations from the state government. Priests in all the four dhams have been agitating against the government on the issue of Devasthanam Board, so the government wanted that there should be no yatra this year and want to pass the ball on High Court now.
Congress vice-president said that the Char Dham Yatra is the source of livelihood for five lakh families of Uttarakhand and the way the Yatra has been affecting due to Corona for the last two years, there is a question mark hanging on the livelihood of lakhs of people. Dhasmana said that the irresponsible attitude of the BJP government is taking a big toll on lakhs of people.
