Even though the government has closed liquor shops due to the curfew in Uttarakhand, illegal liquor sellers are filling their pockets by selling illegal liquor during this time. These illegal liquor dealers are providing liquor to the people on their demand and are extorting huge money from them by selling liquor in black. Something similar happened in Haldwani too.
On inspection by the police near Nawabi Tirahe in Haldwani, 12 boxes of country-made liquor have been recovered. Police have arrested three youths for carrying out illegal liquors. Let us tell you that near the Nawabi Tirahe of Haldwani, three youths were seen loading liquor boxes in a vehicle outside the government country liquor shop. Seeing the police, the three youths got scared and started running from there, but the police caught them. The vehicle with them had police stickers on both the front and backside. The police have recovered the liquor and now a case has been registered against the three. Manoj Yadav, sub-inspector of the Hira Nagar police outpost, along with the police team, arrested the three youths.

The police were inspecting the Nawabi Tirahe located on Kaladhungi Road, when three youths were seen in the car outside the government shop of country liquor, after seeing the police the youths in question were started to run. Sub Inspector of Hira Nagar Police Outpost Manoj Yadav along with the police team chased the three youths and nabbed them. The youths told that all three of them work at the government liquor shop of Narendra Gururani and the keys of the shop remain with them so they were selling liquor illegally. They were taking out liquor from the shop to sell liquor. Out of these liquor boxes, they were planning to give 5 boxes of liquor to Mukesh, a resident of Damwadhunga and the rest they had planned to sell at their level. Kotwali in charge Manoj Raturi told that their car has been seized. The vehicle has been seized under the Motor Vehicles Act and a case has been registered against the three under the Excise Act.
