After the decrease in the cases of coronavirus, tourists have started reaching the Nainital district. The city was completely packed on weekends. In view of the ever-increasing crowd, the Nainital district administration is making a plan. The situation in the city is being created due to the crowd. The district administration is serious to do away with this. That is why DM Dhiraj Singh Garbyal held a meeting with the officials. Scooty and bike will not be allowed to the tourists in Nainital on weekends and holidays. Their vehicles will be parked at a temporary parking spot 10 km before the city. For this, arrangements have been made in Russi Bypass and Narayan Nagar.
After this, the tourists will be taken to Nainital via shuttle service. Two-wheeler tourist vehicles coming from Bhowali side will be stopped before the cantonment area. However, Nainital residents and employed persons will be allowed to bring vehicles into the city. In the meeting, DM Dheerat Garbyal asked the officials to improve the tourism arrangements. He said that the plan should be such that the tourists and the local people do not suffer. In addition, he asked to increase the parking lot and Russian Bypass parking lot facilities. The parking capacity of 250 vehicles in the Metropole parking area will be increased from 350 to 400. A parking fee will be charged at the parking lot in Metropole only.
