Electricity rates are low in all categories in Uttarakhand: Trivendra Singh Rawat
Targeting the Aam Aadmi Party, former Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said that in the name of providing free electricity, the Delhi government is cheating the public and collecting bills
Taking a dig at the Aam Aadmi Party, former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Trivendra Singh Rawat said that in the name of providing free electricity, the Delhi government is cheating the public and collecting bills. He also said that electricity is very expensive in Delhi. In contrast, electricity rates in Uttarakhand are very low in all categories. He said that the tendency of the people of Uttarakhand is not to eat for free. The people here are hardworking and they like to eat only on their own hard work.
The issue of free electricity is also resonating in the state because of the assembly elections to be held next year. The Aam Aadmi Party has promised to provide electricity free of cost if it comes to power, while Congress is also not lagging in chanting the same tunes. Amidst all this, former Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat put the Aam Aadmi Party in the dock.
Trivendra said that Delhi gets huge revenue from GST. Along with this, the central government bears the burden of most of the departments. He said that 100 units of electricity have been made free in Delhi, but the bills are given for 101-102 units. This is a complete betrayal of the people of Delhi. Former Chief Minister Trivendra again reiterated that Chardham Yatra should be opened for those who have taken double doses of the Corona vaccine.
He said that the court will also be requested in this regard. He said that in the districts where no case of the corona is coming for 10 days and have become corona-free, the residents of those districts should also be allowed to travel.
