Due to the reduction of Covid testing on the borders, tourists are flocking to the tourist places

On one hand, the government has extended the lockdown for locals till 22 June and on the other hand, due to lack of Covid testing in the borders of Uttarakhand, tourists are flocking to the state and the danger of corona in the state has increased once again. Due to the lack of corona checks on the borders, the number of tourists in tourist places is increasing. With the relaxation of the Covid curfew, tourists are turning to picnic spots. Tourist places like Nainital, Mussoorie, Chakrata etc. are witnessing a huge crowd of tourists on weekends.

The government has also made mandatory 72 hours RTPCR negative report to come to Uttarakhand so that corona infection can be prevented from spreading in the state. The corona investigation on the border of people coming from outside states to Nainital has been stopped. However, no official order has been issued regarding this but the data of border investigation is not being released by the Health Department now because of this there is a sudden increase in the number of tourists in Nainital.

While entering the district, only the Covid negative report and registration of the smart city portals are being checked. Due to the slowing down of corona infection, the state government has started relaxing the rules of the Covid curfew. Due to this now the health department has stopped the corona investigation of people from other states on the border. At the same time, the number of daily corona tests has also been reduced to one thousand. In this too, most of the investigation is being done in rural areas under the Corona Drive campaign. The effect of corona in rural areas is gradually decreasing. Due to this now the number of positive patients is also decreasing.

In such a situation, most of the rural quarantine centers have become empty of patients and now there is no micro-containment zone in Nainital. According to CMO Dr. Bhagirathi Joshi, the Covid investigation is being done as per the need. Patients who seem suspicious on the border are also being investigated at the health center. The Covid Care Centers of Nainital and Haldwani are also empty now. Only two patients are there in the quarantine center built in Garampani. Apart from this, now only eight patients are admitted in Covid Care in Ramnagar. Now only 194 patients are left in home isolation in the district. In such a situation, due to the reduction of corona infection rate, common people will also get relief soon.
