The top Army officer has indicated in the attack on the Jammu Air Base Station is part of a conspiracy sponsored by the government of the neighboring country. Corps Commander of 15th Corps in Srinagar, Lieutenant General DP Pandey, has indicated the hand of Pakistan-backed terrorist organizations Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba behind this attack.

General Pandey said that the army is very well aware of such weapons and drones and the state-of-the-art technologies associated with them and the threat of such attacks may increase in the coming times. Lt Gen Pandey said that the armed forces are considering further strategies to address such threats and find solutions to eliminate any issues threatening national security before they emerge.

The military official said that the technology of drone warfare is not a common practice and it cannot be developed anywhere on the roadside. This simply means that this is a government-sponsored system and technology, which points to terrorist organizations like Jaish and Lashkar-e-Taiba.

On the question of whether these drones were operated locally or outside, Pandey said that we are being careful about disclosing the clues from the ongoing investigation of this case but initial assessment suggests that it was done with the help of government elements. He said that normal drones can be upgraded and used for such attacks with the help of government agencies by increasing their capability and power.
