After the new reshuffle in the state organization of the Congress and the formation of new important committees, voices of dissatisfaction have also started to be heard. Dharchula MLA Harish Dhami threatened to leave the party, questioning some new appointments. Former Chief Minister Harish Rawat has tried to convince him over the phone. It is being told that Dhami's displeasure remains intact.
Harish Dhami, MLA from Dharchula seat of Pithoragarh district, is considered close to former Chief Minister Harish Rawat. The party high command reshuffled the state organization after 26 days of exercise. The responsibility of the post of treasurer has been entrusted to State Congress Vice President Aryaendra Sharma. This appointment is being considered important from the point of view of financial management in the assembly elections.
Aryendra is considered to be of the opposing camp of Harish Rawat. This is the reason why Dhami took this appointment very harshly. The discussion of his displeasure caught on the internet media. It was told that he has objection to the new responsibility of Aryanendra Sharma, who contested as an independent and then expelled from the party for six years for not getting the party ticket in the last assembly elections.
Dhami says that such a person should not be given an important post like treasurer. Not only this, there is an objection to making him working president. In a conversation with the media, Dhami justified his objection. If sources are to be believed, former Chief Minister Harish Rawat tried to persuade Dhami by contacting him over the phone. For now, Dhami has indicated to stick to his stand.
