After reviewing the Navy's plans and projects in Karwar and Kochi on June 24-25, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is going to Leh-Ladakh on a three-day tour on Sunday. According to the information, during this time the Defense Minister will inaugurate the newly constructed construction road and bridge in the areas of LAC adjacent to China by the Border Road Organization (BRO). This will not only facilitate the movement of residents living in the border areas but will also facilitate the movement of the army.
Can meet soldiers by visiting the forward location
Let us tell you that last week also, during the tour of Assam-Arunachal Pradesh, the Defense Minister had inaugurated about a dozen roads and bridges connecting the LAC. All these roads were also prepared by BRO.
According to the information, the Defense Minister will visit the headquarters of the 14th Corps (Fire and Fury) on his visit to Leh-Ladakh and take the latest information about the LAC from the local commanders. It is believed that Rajnath Singh can also visit the forward location and meet the soldiers because of the tension with China continues on the LAC adjacent to Eastern Ladakh. In such a situation, the Air Force is also on full alert in Ladakh. The Defense Minister will also take stock of the preparations of the Air Force.
Tension continues with China on LAC adjoining eastern Ladakh
Rajnath Singh's visit to Leh-Ladakh is taking place at a time when the Line of Actual Control i.e. LAC (Line of Actual Control) adjoining eastern Ladakh is in conflict with China. In the areas north and south of Pangong-Tso Lake, the first phase of disengagement was done between the armies of India and China. But the rest of the disputed areas of the LAC – Hot Spring, Gogra, Demchok, Depsang Plain, etc. – have been categorically refused by the Chinese PLA army to retreat.
Last year also visited Leh-Ladakh
Last year also the Defense Minister had visited Leh-Ladakh. During that time, in the presence of the Defense Minister, the Army and the Air Force also conducted a joint exercise. While addressing the marines in Kochi on Friday itself, Rajnath Singh had revealed that the Indian Navy had done proactive deployment during the Galvan Valley violence last year because India wants peace with China on the LAC but is also ready to deal with any odd situation.
