Corona curfew in Uttarakhand: Markets will open in a phased manner in areas with fewer infection
On Wednesday, Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat took information from the district magistrates about the status of corona infection in their areas and sought suggestions from them
Preparations are being made to open markets in less infected areas in Uttarakhand, but the state government will take this decision only based on the report of the district magistrates. According to the Chief Minister, he will once again discuss with the district magistrates on Thursday and only then will he reach any conclusion.
BJP President Madan Kaushik met the Chief Minister
State BJP President Madan Kaushik met the Chief Minister on Wednesday. Kaushik had requested the Chief Minister to open the market. He said that the corona infection has reduced in many areas in the state, shops should be allowed to open in such areas. The organization associated with traders had also requested the Chief Minister to open shops. Meanwhile, the central government has also permitted to unlock the districts with less than five percent infected cases.
To reduce the rate of corona infection in the state and to save the traders from further loss, the state government is now seriously considering relaxing the Covid curfew but the government does not want to take any decision in haste. Even now, about one thousand new infected people of Covid are coming. In such a situation, the government is thinking of relaxing it only after taking information about the ground situation from the district magistrates.
Infection below 5 percent in three districts
The rate of corona infection in the state's Champawat, Bageshwar and Haridwar are below five percent. Haridwar has the lowest at 2.91 percent, while Champawat has 4.78 and Bageshwar has 3.99 percent. Dehradun has an infection rate of 5.35 percent. In the rest of the districts, the infection rate is more than five percent.
Unlocked will be done in a phased manner
The state government will not unlock everything at one go but will open markets and other restrictions according to the infection rate. According to official sources, in the first phase, unlocking can be done in Dehradun, Haridwar, Champawat and Bageshwar.
I spoke to the district magistrates today regarding the opening of the market and also inquired from them about the corona infection in their districts. The government will decide based on their report. Where the infection rate is low, markets will open in a phased manner. On Thursday, I will once again talk to the district magistrates said Tirath Singh Rawat, Chief Minister
