Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat has inaugurated 2 Oxygen Generation Plants in Almora District.
Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat has inaugurated 2 Oxygen Generation Plants in Almora District. One of 500 × 2 LMP at Base Hospital under Almora Medical College and other of 216 LMP at Almora District Hospital, has been inaugurated by the CM thorugh virtual medium. These are the first oxygen generation plants to be set up in the mountainous regions of Kumaon division. The Chief Minister said that the people of Almora and surrounding districts will benefit from this by setting up these oxygen plants in Almora. This will also reduce the workload at Sushila Tiwari Hospital in Haldwani. It is said that after medical colleges and district hospitals, oxygen plant is being arranged up to CHC level. He said that all preparations should be completed well in advance of the third wave of Corona.
The state government is making every effort to effectively control the corona. On an average, more testing is being done in Uttarakhand as compared to other states. The Chief Minister said that awareness campaigns should be conducted on a large scale by the monitoring committees that have been formed to effectively control Covid. Continuous awareness campaigns should be conducted for corona testing and vaccination. MP Ajay Tamta said that apart from Almora, the people of Bageshwar, Chamoli, Pithoragarh districts will also be benefited from the setting up of the Oxygen Generation Plant in Almora. Rekha Arya, Minister of State for Women Empowerment and Child Development and Covid in charge of Almora district, said that we have gone one step further to fight against Corona.
Many efforts are being made to improve health facilities. He said that the work of setting up an oxygen plant has started in Someshwar too, which will be completed soon. Expressing gratitude to the Chief Minister, Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker Raghunath Singh Chauhan said that this is the first plant in the hilly districts of Kumaon which is a matter of pride for us. DM Almora Nitin Bhadauria said that a 20-bed ICU ward is being constructed in Almora, which will be ready in a week. Vaccination is being done by the Health Department by going to the rural areas of the district. On this occasion, District President of BJP Ravi Rautela, CDO Navneet Pandey, CMO Dr. Savita Hayanki, Principal Almora Medical College Dr. RG Nautiyal etc. were present.
