Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat will be visiting Delhi on Saturday. The preoccupation first with the Kumbh and then with the outbreak of the second wave of Corona came in the way of Tirath's visit to Delhi. This visit of the Chief Minister, which is taking place after a long gap, is being considered important for the state to get help from the Center, as well as he can get strategic instructions from the Center regarding the assembly elections to be held in 2022.
The situation which has become worrisome for the last one and a half months due to corona infection in the state is now improving. Infection cases have decreased however, the challenge of controlling the situation completely is still there in front of the government. Amid all this, Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat will visit Delhi on Saturday. He can meet the Home Minister, Health Minister and other Union Ministers. He has sought an appointment with the Union Ministers, although the schedule of the meeting has not been decided yet.
It is believed that after reaching Delhi, the program of the Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat’s meetings will be decided. This is the reason that the schedule of the Chief Minister's return from Delhi is yet to be decided. The Chief Minister will attend a webinar on Saturday at 4.30 pm at Uttarakhand Sadan to pay tribute to the Late environmentalist Sunderlal Bahuguna.
Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat’s assembly seat is also likely to be discussed during this meeting. The CM is currently an MP from Pauri Garhwal seat. He has to contest the assembly elections within six months. The assembly seat from where he would contest is yet to be decided. It is believed that a decision can be taken on this issue. Also as the assembly elections in 2022 are approaching, there is not much time is left in front of the Chief Minister. In such a situation, the challenge is before the government is to carry out development works. The chief minister can discuss this issue with the central government and the party high command.
