CBSE Board Exam Result: A division bench of Justice AM Khanwilkar and Justice Dinesh Maheshwari has given in-principle consent to the proposal of the board. Along with this, the court has directed CBSE and ICSE to upload the evaluation plan on their websites.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) today told the Supreme Court that it plans that the evaluation criteria for Class 12 students will be based on the results of Class 10 and Class 11. CBSE said that the total marks of 12th will be based on the performance of the previous examinations. The board has told that the results will be released by July 31.

The board, while presenting its evaluation criteria for the class 12 examination, told the court that 40 percent marks would be based on class 12 pre-board whereas from 10th and 11th exams 30-30 percent marks will be collected. The board has also decided to give importance to the performance of the previous examinations in the 12th result.

A division bench of Justice AM Khanwilkar and Justice Dinesh Maheshwari has given in-principle consent to the board's proposal. Along with this, the court has directed CBSE and ICSE to upload the evaluation plan on their websites.

CBSE told the court that the practicals will be of 100 marks and only the marks given by the schools to the students will be valid. The ICSE board has also given an affidavit to the Supreme Court that the result will be released before July 31.

The court has also suggested the CBSE and ICSE boards to make a provision to specify a post-result dispute resolution panel and a time limit for conducting an alternative examination after the examination result.
