Cabinet Expansion: Since the formation of Uttarakhand, six leaders got a chance in the center

In the year 1999, in the government of Atal Bihari Vajpayee at the Center, Bachi Singh Rawat, who was a four-time MP from Almora, got a chance to become a minister. At that time he was given the charge of the Union Minister of State for Defense and the Ministry of Science and Technology. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee also expressed confidence in Bhuvan Chandra Khanduri, who reached the Lok Sabha for the first time, and was made a Union Minister of State.

With this he was given independent charge of the important Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. During this time, the Golden Quadrilateral road project connecting the country's capital Delhi with other states took off in which Khanduri garnered a lot of applause. This was the reason that in the expansion of the cabinet in 2003, he got the status of a cabinet minister. After this, in the Manmohan Singh government in the 15th Lok Sabha, Harish Rawat first got a chance to become a minister of state and then a cabinet minister.

He was entrusted with the responsibility of the Ministry of Water Resources. After this, in the first innings of the Modi government in the year 2016, Ajay Tamta got a chance to become a minister from the quota of Uttarakhand. He was given the responsibility of Minister of State for Textiles.

After this, in the second term of Modi in the year 2019, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank got an opportunity to handle a huge ministry like Union Human Resource Development, but Nishank could not be able to complete his term and he had to go to in the cabinet expansion on Wednesday. Now it is Ajay Bhatt's turn.

Union Minister of State Ajay Bhatt is one of the lucky MPs who got elected to the Lok Sabha for the first time and got a place in the Union Cabinet. On being made a minister of state in the Modi cabinet, he said that I am a soldier of PM Modi's team, I will follow the orders given to him and the public.

Bhatt said that his priorities are the same as those of the central government for the country and the state of Uttarakhand. It will be his endeavor that while fulfilling the responsibilities of the ministry, he should strongly advocate the issues related to the interests of the state.
