On the Munsiyari Milam road connecting the Indo-China border near Laspa, the Border Roads Organization has constructed the bridge after working in less than zero degree temperature for more than four months. The material for the construction of this very important bridge was transported there by MI 17 helicopter. The bridge built at Laspa on Munsiyari Milam road is very important from the strategic point of view. This road goes to the China border connecting Munsiyari Bugdiyar and Milam in the northwest of the country. The Border Roads Organization had to face tough challenges for the construction of the bridge at a height of 3300 meters.
For the construction of 140 feet double reinforced bridge made of 1 crore 20 lakh in Laspa, the material was transported there by Mi 17 helicopter. The construction work of the bridge was started in February in minus 6 degrees temperature. More than 300 workers were engaged in the construction of the bridge for four months. Officials of the Border Roads Organization also contributed to strength the country's movement to the China border by staying there despite heavy snowfall and somehow completing the work on time. On the occasion of the inauguration of the bridges, CM Tirath Singh Rawat was present from Ramnagar. MP Ajay Tamta along with Chief Engineer of Diamond Project MNV Prasad were also present on the occasion.
Tourism development will get wings, migration villages will benefit
The construction of bridges in the frontier will benefit the population of more than 8,000 high Himalayan migration villages. This will also benefit the devotees going on Mansarovar Yatra along with Adi Kailas, Om Parvat. The people of the frontier will be benefitted from the bridge built in Laspa on Munsiyari Jauljibi road. Before the launch of 70 meters long bridge on Jaunali Gad on Jauljibi Milam road, officials of Border Roads Organization Hirak engaged in the construction of the bridge were seen posted.
